HISTORY
Purdy Construction has been a premiere commercial construction service provider in the mid-Ohio area since 1923. With the sole purpose of exceeding our customers expectations we have been able to succeed and expand for years. Looking back at our past success allows us to build and better serve every challenge that comes our way.
MANSFIELD, OH
Picking a plot at an old railroad service building on East Longview, Wes Purdy set up shop in Mansfield for Purdy's first project the St. Rt. 42 & St. Rt. 430 Viaduct which still stands today.
PRESTON
In the early 1950's Bob Preston a Cornell trained Civil Engineer started a career with The Purdy Construction Co., Inc. In the early 1960's Bob purchased the company from Wes Purdy. Mr. Preston was at the helm of our company until his passing in 1996. Bob's son, Brad Preston, also a Cornell trained physical Engineer, then purchased the Company. Brad successfully ran Purdy's until his decision to retire in 2006 when he sold the company.
WURTHMANN
Todd Wurthmann (right) an employee of Purdy's since 1986 acquired The Purdy Construction Company in 2006 with his wife Julie, and he is still President. He continues to innovate and provide cost effective solutions for all our valued customers
